  • From Oxford: Train services usually require one change (usually in London). Journey times are approximately 2.5 - 3 hours.

  • From Cardiff: Train services are available with one change (usually in London). Journey times are approximately 3 - 3.5 hours.

  • From York: Train services are available with one change. Journey times are approximately 2 - 2.5 hours.

  • From Bath: Trains typically require one change (usually in London). Journey times are approximately 3 - 3.5 hours.

  • From Liverpool: Services usually require one change (via London or Birmingham). Journey times are approximately 3.5 - 4.5 hours.

 

Transport from the Cambridge Railway Station:

 

The Universal (U) Bus provides a direct and convenient link between Cambridge Railway Station and the West Cambridge site, where the Department of Chemical Engineering and Biotechnology is located. The journey takes approximately 20–25 minutes, with frequent services throughout the day. From Cambridge railway station, the Department can be reached by taxi (around 10 minutes) or by local bus.
